GloryBee Exceeds $1 Million Donated with $45,000 Gift to Support Bees and Beekeepers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Longtime partner Save the Bee receives targeted funding  as threats to bees and other pollinators intensify.

Eugene, Oregon  2.24.2026 – GloryBee (www.glorybee.com), a B-Corp Certified honey and natural ingredients company founded in 1975, has announced a new targeted $45,000 donation to Save the Bee® (www.savethebee.org), responding to unprecedented challenges facing honey bees and beekeepers.

This commitment comes as beekeepers across the country report record pressures on colonies driven by disease, pesticide exposure, habitat loss, and mounting operational strain. The $45,000 gift will go directly to support bees and beekeepers through Save the Bee’s ongoing work. One hundred percent of the funds are dedicated to that purpose.

The targeted funding is in addition to more than $100,000 GloryBee contributes annually, and over $1 million dollars contributed over the last decade, to support Save the Bee. That support includes licensing 1% of sales from products carrying the Save the Bee seal and donating 10% of revenue from its Save the Bee Honey line.

“Beekeepers are under real pressure right now,” said Alan Turanski, President of GloryBee, Founder and Board Chair of Save the Bee, and second-generation beekeeper. “When colonies struggle, it’s not just a beekeeper issue. It’s a food security issue. It’s an environmental issue. It’s a human health issue. We can’t sit back and hope things stabilize. We have to invest in solutions and stand with the people doing the hard work on the ground.”

A Long-Term Commitment, Not a Moment

Founded in 2012 by the Turanski family, Save the Bee (www.savethebee.org) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping bees and humans thrive. Bees pollinate 75% of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables that keep us healthy. They enable forage for livestock and fiber for clothing. Their health is tied directly to our own.

Save the Bee works to strengthen food security, environmental resilience, and human health by:

  • Planting and developing healthy bee and pollinator habitat
  • Driving research on bee and colony health
  • Expanding advocacy, education, and industry partnerships

The organization is active in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, funding research, planting pollinator habitat, and inspiring the next generation of bee stewards.

GloryBee’s new $45,000 commitment reinforces that mission at a time when support is needed most.

Independent Missions. Shared Values.

While GloryBee and Save the Bee share history and leadership roots, each operates with a distinct purpose. GloryBee focuses on responsibly sourcing and delivering honey and natural ingredients to customers nationwide. Save the Bee operates as an independent nonprofit advancing research, habitat development, and education.

The relationship reflects a shared belief: businesses that rely on healthy ecosystems must help protect them.

“Supporting bees isn’t a marketing decision for us,” Turanski said. “It’s personal. It’s generational. And it’s necessary. If we want strong food systems and thriving communities, we need strong beekeepers and healthy hives.”

Save the Bee will also be present at Expo West, continuing to build awareness and partnerships around bee health and advocacy.
